By Canadian Pilots, For Canadian Pilots

Canadian Aviator is Canada’s independently owned magazine for pilots, future pilots and those interested in Canadian aviation. It is owned by Russ Niles, a Cessna 140 owner, who acquired full ownership in May of 2014

Canada has a vibrant aviation industry and we cover it from coast to coast featuring the people, businesses and aircraft that make our country a world leader in aviation. Every story that appears in our magazine has a Canadian connection and with that focus our readership is steadily growing. Canadian Aviators clearly want a truly Canadian aviation magazine.

We are heavily involved in the Canadian aviation industry and sponsor various events and educational opportunities. We recently started our I’m a Canadian Aviator initiative to encourage and recognize pilots who have achieved their first solo. We have also created Canada’s most comprehensive Flight Training Guide which we publish every January and send to every high school career centre in Canada.

We’ve significantly boosted our online presence and have begun issuing a weekly newsletter that contains only stories about Canadian aviation. We’re looking for reader submissions of videos and aerial photos of airports as we build a comprehensive illustrated guide to Canadian airports.

We carry about a dozen columns in each issue of the magazine written by Canada’s top experts in everything from meteorology to flight training. Be sure to follow Sam Daigle, a 21-year-old King Air first officer on his journey through a flying career.

We wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the generous support of our advertisers and the continued patronage by our thousands of readers. Stay in touch with us as we build a truly Canadian community of aviators.
